Damask Wallpaper

Damask wallpaper that feels timeless, not old-fashioned

Damask wallpaper is one of the great classic patterns, a graceful run of repeating motifs that mirror each other across the wall. It has a way of making a room feel more considered the moment it goes up. The worry people often have is that it will feel dated, and the answer is in the design you choose. A soft beaded damask in beige or dove gray looks calm and traditional. A bold tropical damask in blue or pink, or an abstract one in cinnamon and stone, looks surprisingly fresh.

Choose by mood. For a quiet, elegant room, start with our classic and elegant floral damasks in beige, white, taupe and gray. For a bedroom with a little romance, look at the whimsical and floral stitch designs. If you want something with more edge, our bold tropical and abstract damasks are the ones guests ask about. A large pattern suits a big wall, and a quieter colorway suits a smaller room. A dining room or bedroom is a lovely place to begin, and our floral wallpaper and neutral wallpaper collections have more to explore.

A few practical points. Most of our damask designs are washable or scrubbable, and most are strippable, so the room is easy to look after and easy to change later. Most come as a roll about 21 inches wide and 33 feet long, and some come as wider 42 inch rolls, so check the roll size before you order. Order a sample and look at it on your own wall in the light you really have.
